Gocek Yacht Club was founded in 1999 in Gocek town under the name of Gocek Yacht Specialization Club Association.

It still operates as a part of Turkish Sailing Federation. The club organizes regattas and sailing courses in order to train the future yachtsmen and to increase the interest in sailing.

Die türkische Aegäis und die Mittelmeerküste haben sehr heisse und trockene Sommer und nasse, milde Winter. Die Küstenstädte sind während den Wintermonaten (Oktober bis April) fast ausgestorben. In den Sommermonaten bläst der Wind hauptsächlich aus Norden und Westen im Marmarmismeer und der Aegäis.

Göcek, ein kleiner Ort in der Nähe des Flufhafens von Dalaman, ist die Basis in der Bucht von Fethyie und Ausganspunkt für Törns in östlicher oder westlicher Richtung mit Möglichkeiten für One-way Törns nach Bodrum, Marmaris und Kemer, oder gemütliche Familientörns in der Bucht von Fethiye mit ihren unzähligen Anker-Möglichkeiten.

The Turkish Aegean and Mediterranean coasts have very hot and dry summers, and wet, mild winters when the coastal towns more or less shut down between October and April. In the summer months, the winds in the Sea of Marmaris and the Aegean are predominately from the north and west.

Göcek, a small village very close to the Dalaman airport, is the base in Fethiye Bay and the starting point for one-ways to the both directions Bodrum, Marmaris and Kemer or for family cruises in Fethiye Bay with its countless anchoring spots.
